The initials EAP stand for Emergency Action Plan.
An EAP is required by OSHA for businesses. The purpose is to direct workers during emergencies that may happen at the business location. A good plan and properly trained workers will result in fewer injuries, less severe injuries, and less structural damage to the facility during the emergency.
Hire Betances Electrical LLC to stop by for a workplace evaluation of your business. We will put together an EAP that helps with the issues your worksite may face.
The EAP we prepare for your business will describe how employees should respond to different types of emergencies. It will take into account the worksite emergency system, layout, and structure. We will then go over the EAP with your employees. The commitment and support of all employees is critical to the plan's success in the event of an emergency.

Application
An employer must have an EAP whenever an OSHA standard in this part requires one. The requirements in this section apply to each such emergency action plan.
The plan will include but is not limited to:
Drafting the EAP is not enough to ensure the safety of your employees. When an evacuation is necessary, you will need responsible, trained individuals who can supervise and coordinate activities to ensure a safe and successful evacuation. An EAP is only good if its content is up to date, employees are sufficiently educated, and trained before an actual evacuation.
