AHA offers a variety of first aid courses. Here are all the AHA First Aid courses.
Students learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers, first aid actions for medical emergencies, severe choking, heart attack, and stroke. Students also learn skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies. This includes external bleeding, broken bones, sprains, bites, and stings. This course is for anyone with limited medical training, no medical training, or in need of a course completion card in first aid to meet job requirements.
During the course, an AHA instructor conducts video based lessons and works with students to complete their first aid skills practice and testing. Duration will vary.
Upon completion of this course, students receive an AHA Heartsaver first aid course completion card that is valid for 2 years.
AHA has introduced the AHA Heartsaver course completion card for Kindergarten through 12th grade school systems. The card signifies that an individual in the Kindergarten through 12th grade school system has successfully completed the objectives and skills evaluations in accordance with the curriculum of the AHA Heartsaver program. If you are a Kindergarten through 12th grade school, ask about this option.
