"Residential wiring which covers power and lighting with a heavy concentration of NEC. Industrial circuitry, motor control, conduit bending and much more. So, Betances received a well rounded education in electrical installation and practice that will allow him to be able to do varied types of electrical jobs.

Noteworthy is the fact that Betances entered SkillsUSA, a competition in residential wiring. He was the sole student representing this school. He took first place as regional champion for NYC and Nassau County. To me this was quite an accomplishment as TEHS had not participated in quite a number of years. That meant that the current teaching staff had to work with limited knowledge of what to expect at this competition but yet he excelled.

Evidence of his hard work and his will to succeed is the fact that Betances came in on several Saturdays [...] to work on his hands on projects so that he would finish the requisite number of jobs within the given time constraints.

I am confident that he will be an able employee and an asset wherever he works."
